THE ORIGINAL KC RUB FOR SMOKING MEAT

Picture

During the early 70s, our father was the manager at the Smoke House in the River Quay, Kansas City, Missouri. At that time, the Quay was a hustling and bustling and the Smokehouse sat smack in the middle of the Farmers Market. On summer weekends, my little sister and I had the run of the neighborhood. Everybody knew us and it was the time of our life.

Early in the morning and late at night, my Dad would use this special dry rub on the brisket and other meats and place everything in the smoker. I swear, the delicious smells coming from that smoker were the single reason the people gathered in the market and lined up outside at lunch time. (Besides the brisket, they made these awesome Curly Q fries!) The place was packed from lunch to dinner and we felt so special being the daughters of the Manager. :)

This Kansas City Rub is the original recipe that drew in thousands every year. If you want the best dry meat rub, you have go to try our KC rub. You won't even need barbecue sauce!
